Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

A family-run business in Tipton is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for a fixed term contract of 6 months. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing finance team and will be responsible for tasks such as monitoring the purchase ledger email account, processing supplier statement reconciliations, and general administration work. While purchase ledger experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent PC skills, be reliable and flexible, and possess a strong attention to detail. Knowledge of SAGE and Microsoft Office is also required. The salary for this position is £22,000.

Due to winning lots of new contracts my client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for a period of 6 months. You will be working directly with their existing finance team. Day to day duties to include.

  • Monitoring purchase ledger email account
  • Help with processing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Ensure all filing is done correctly and promptly – including invoice scanning.
  • Liaise with suppliers requesting statements.
  • Additional help with general administration work.

We are looking for someone with the following skill set.

  • Purchase Ledger experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent and accurate PC skills.
  • Reliable and flexible attitude to work.
  • Hard working.
  • Well organised and pays attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Able to organise own workload & prioritise effectively.
  • Operates with a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • A competent SAGE user or similar software
  • A competent Microsoft officer user.
