Teachmatch is searching for a motivated Food Technology Teacher to join a dedicated team at a client school in Cheltenham. This role offers the chance to support up to eight students in achieving qualifications in the Hospitality and Catering sector, including the WJEC GCSE Technical Award and the Gateway Vocational Award/Certificate. The teacher will also serve as a key tutor, fostering strong relationships with students and their families to encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and overall development. Candidates should possess relevant teaching qualifications and experience with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role:
You will work with groups of up to 8 students, supporting them to achieve a range of qualifications within the Hospitality and Catering sector. Courses delivered include:
WJEC GCSE Technical Award
Gateway Vocational Award/Certificate
You will play a vital role in helping students either transition back into mainstream education or complete their KS4 qualifications.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will act as a key tutor, building strong relationships with students and their families to support:
Positive engagement and behaviour
High levels of attendance
Social and emotional development
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred) with a background in Food Technology or a related subject
Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision setting (desirable)
A proactive and nurturing approach to teaching and behaviour management
Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable learners
