Job Title: Food production Line Setter

Location:             Tipton

Salary:          Days from £11-£12/h

                    Afternoons from £12.68 – £13.80/h 

                    Nights from £14.30 -£15.60/h    

Available Hours: (you only working one shift)

                             Days        Mon- Fri 7am-5pm OR

                             Afternoons   Mon – Fri 3pm-1am OR

                             Nights        Mon-Thu 6pm-6am

Previous line leading or setting experience is advantageous to be considered for the role.

 

Purpose:  Responsible for setting and proving of each line and associated cleaning, health, safety and environmental compliance related to activities within agreed standards of performance and any other duties required by the Production Manager.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

• To optimise performance by meeting various targets
• Carry out start up safety checks and functional tests
• Ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are maintained and improved
• Ensure that effective cleaning has been carried out between products and prior to reassembly
• To assist in the writing up a SOP for each machine on the line and to ensure that operators are trained and signed off on SOP
• Able to show problem solving qualities
• Pro-active approach to daily and long term issues as they arise
• To understand the mechanics of the machinery and carry out tool changes and line changes each day
• Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure
• Well organised and able to react to the needs of the business
• Supportive and committed to the manufacturing team and all other areas of the business
• Work to good hygiene and housekeeping practices set out by the company, keeping your work area clean and tidy
• Ensure product is of good quality, complete quality checks as you work

 

Knowledge & experience:

• Experience in food manufacturing environment (Advantageous)
• Must be fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing to fulfil all aspects of role i.e., being able to communicate in the business language (English), complete legal paperwork and understand company policies and procedures
