Job Description:

Falkirk Council is a dynamic local government, committed to providing excellent services to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of the fleet.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications/skills:

• Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• SVQ Level 4 or equivalent
• Time serve Apprenticeship in Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
