Finance Business Partner – Food Service Group – London Area (Hybrid) – Up to £75k + car allowance.  

I’m seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to oversee various contracts within the healthcare sector on behalf of my client and manage a team of five direct reports.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with at least three years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a proven track record in business partnering.

I am looking for someone ambitious, proactive, and dynamic—an individual who is willing to challenge the status quo and possesses strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the wider finance team to continually develop KPIs and ensure that end users are focusing on the right metrics to drive sustainable profitable growth.
  • The preparation and review of annual budgets and reforecasting.
  • Preparation and review of monthly management information including in depth variance analysis and underlying performance reporting.
  • Prepare monthly business review pack and present at MD/Head of Finance monthly meeting.
  • Balance sheet reviews and compliance with Group Accounting Manual, maintaining a full and up-to-date understanding of SAP and Nexus.
  • Promote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing and active management of debt ledgers, also completing working capital forecasts.
  • Calculate and manage the financial risks and opportunities arising from volumetric and other contract mechanisms.
  • Financial oversight for all contract amendments and service pricing, ensuring pricing strategy is applied consistently.
  • Challenge and appraise investment decisions.

The ideal candidate

  • Be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Have commercial experience gained in large contract management.
  • Be experienced in the preparation and review of budgeting and forecasting in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrate advanced excel and modelling.
  • Show evidence of Business Partnering with non-financial colleagues up to a senior level.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
  • Display well-developed critical thinking and problem solving with an ability to present outcomes and influence stakeholders.
  • Be results orientated, with ability to take decisions when necessary and the resilience to be challenged.
  • Have previous line management experience.
