Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing / Engineering company in their search for several Field Service Engineers to work in their leading facility in the Gateshead
For the successful Field Service Engineer, our client is offering:
- Salary £35,500 – £39,350 per annum (Depending on experience)
- Paid from Door to Door
- Monday to Friday 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM
- Opportunity for overtime paid @ 1.5 during the week & x2 after 4 hours on a Saturday
- Permanent position
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays
- Immediate starts are available or happy to wait for candidates with notice periods.

The Role – Field Service Engineer:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing third-party equipment. In this role, you will be providing a good level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.
- Complete all service, repair, warranty, and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high-quality standard
- Build strong rapport and relationships with customers, through professional behaviour and a customer-focused mindset
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
- Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service
- Comply with all Legal and company standards, such as the code of conduct and H&S practices.
What our client is looking for in a Field Service Engineer:
- Experienced and qualified in working with relevant mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems – ESSENTIAL
- Experience and knowledge of heavy-duty plant machinery such as FLT, Cranes, and Agricultural machinery – ESSENTIAL
- Must have demonstrable technical experience in a similar, installation role – ESSENTIAL
- Satisfactory completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 2 or 3 · ESSENTIAL
- GCSE passes grades A-C in Mathematics and English · ESSENTIAL
- Must be flexible to travel overseas if required – ESSENTIAL
- Must have a clean driving licence – ESSENTIAL
