123Job Description:A Local Authority is looking for a Family Safeguarding Team Manager to join their service.
As a Team Manager you will develop and grow relationships within the team and with their partners to deliver an effective service, which is timely, within budget and in line with policies and procedures.
You will provide quality supervision to Assistant Team Managers so that they can positively work with supporting social workers alongside children, young people and their families to champion their needs whilst building trust and confidence.

Responsibilities of you as a Family Safeguarding Team Manager:
- You’ll lead, support and develop incredible people who are working exceptionally hard to ensure that all children can achieve their potential.
- Develop and grow relationships within the team and with our partners to deliver an effective service, which is timely, within budget and in line with policies and procedures.
- Provide expertise and strong management to drive performance and to commission and/or deliver the Council’s priorities and meet service targets, as a member of the Council’s Senior Management Group.
- Manage team workloads to ensure that children and their families/carers and adopters receive the best possible service from the most suitable available practitioner and to ensure that staff have the capacity to provide this level of service consistently.
- To engage with the Operations Manager in case file and specific issue audits to ensure children are safeguarded and planning and assessment is clear, in pertinent, well-evidenced and timely records.
Requirements of you as a Family Safeguarding Team Manager:
- Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree and current SWE registration
- Significant experience of working successfully with Members and Directors on complex issues and the development of strategic direction
- A full UK driving licence
- DBS clearance
- Authority to work in the UK
Location: Wiltshire
Salary scale: £60,000 p.a. plus benefits
