The role offers a pay rate of £14.20 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 on weekends, with additional mileage compensation. We are recruiting a full time experienced female care assistant to support service users in the following locations across the Hemel Hempstead area of Hertfordshire.

 

Pay Rate: £14.20ph Mon-Fri – £16.00ph Sat-Sun plus 30p mileage. (Payment for entire shift including travel time)

Shifts work across six days a week,

Monday 7am-2pm & 4pm-10.00pm

Tuesday 7am-2pm & 4pm-10.00pm

Thursday 7am-2pm & 4pm-10.00pm

Friday 7am-2pm & 4pm-10.00pm

Sunday 7am-2pm

 

Our Care Professionals are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

Job Description

Helping our clients overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use of, and care of aids/adaptations and personal equipment.

Assisting with domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.

 

Our Care Professionals help our clients with personal care such as washing, bathing and toileting arrangements.

Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, assisting with feeding if required.

Assisting clients with preparing and administering medication.

Qualifications

You don’t need any social care experience to apply for this role. We’re more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You’ll need to be resilient too and willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team.

No previous experience is necessary, but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care.

Have a right to work within the UK

At least 6 months experience as a Healthcare Assistant/professional

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. (We care for some clients living in more rural areas)
