A client is seeking a dynamic and organized Events Assistant to join their team in Glasgow. The role involves supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. The Events Assistant will act as the first point of contact for event inquiries, assist with event preparations, maintain event records, and provide general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and knowledge of GDPR and Health and Safety legislation. The position pays £13.77 per hour and has an initial contract length until July.

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Events Assistant to join our client’s team. As an Events Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events hosted by our client’s. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for events, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as first point of contact for all enquires relating to events; in person, via email and telephone seeking to resolve issues where appropriate.
- Proactively support the client’s process; also providing an excellent standard of service in the personal arrangements.
- Proactively support events preparations by assisting with a range of activities.
- Maintain events record systems and process events data.
- Assist with all aspects of general administration relevant to the events including financial, GDPR, FOI, Health and Safety.
- Provide assistance with the general administrative support contributing to the smooth operation and management.
- Assist with meetings to ensure effective support for the committee clerk and committee members.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work with key stakeholders over multiple events.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and independently.
- Ability to work under pressure, to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of large-scale database to process data.
- Knowledge of working in complex organisations.
- Good working knowledge of GDPR, Freedom of Information legislation and Health and Safety Legislation.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills
