The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as configuring and integrating manufacturer equipment, working in a self-supervised and structured manner, and paying attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar engineering or electronics role, excellent computer skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. The position offers a permanent contract, competitive salary, and early finish on Fridays.
Job Description:Position: Electronics Technician
Location: On-site (Redditch, B98)
Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime (08:45-17:00 Monday- Thursday 08:45 – 16:00 Friday)
Salary: £25000 – £38000 (Depending on experience)
Permanent Position / Excellent Rates of Pay / Early Finish on a Friday / 23 Days Holiday + BH
A leading company in the Radio Telecommunications Solutions sector based in Redditch is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the successful candidate will be highly organised and competent with both complex and basic engineering tasks.
The Role
” Technologies include (but are not limited to) Digital / Analogue Radio systems, Integrated Control Desk Systems, voice systems (PA), CCTV and Distributed Antenna Systems.
” Experience configuring/integrating manufacturer equipment to interface with the customer environment in terms of Telephony / SIP / IT networks / IP plans.
” The ability to work in a self-supervised and structured manner with a disciplined work ethic.
” Attention to detail during throughout the life cycle of the project from design, build, acceptance testing, installation and As-Built documentation.
” Strong electronic bench engineering skills underpinned with experience/qualification.
” The role will require a full clean driving licence.
” To be able to pass enhanced security checks such as DBS or higher.
The Ideal Candidate will Posses
” Experience in a similar engineering or Electronics role
” Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.
” Be a process-driven person able to offer improvement when required.
” Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks to increase productivity.
” The ability to work as part of a wider organisational team.
” Educated to degree level or equivalent, relevant experience.
