Role: Director (Interim)
Company: The Goldsmiths’ Centre
Location: Clerkenwell, London
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
The Goldsmiths’ Centre – a London-based charity that supports the jewellery, silversmithing and allied industries to embrace learning as a lifelong practice – is seeking an exceptional Interim Director to lead our organisation through a pivotal period of transition.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the continued delivery of our mission to support the goldsmithing industry through education, training, and enterprise. You will lead a talented senior team, manage key stakeholder relationships across the craft, trade, education and policy sectors, and work closely with the Goldsmiths’ Company’s senior leadership.
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong track record in the charity or non-profit sector, and a deep understanding of at least one of the following: the silversmithing and jewellery trade, the creative industries, or vocational education. You’ll bring commercial acumen, strategic vision, and a collaborative leadership style, alongside a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a unique organisation at the heart of the UK’s creative and craft industries.
Contract: 6–8 months (full-time)
Location: On-site in Clerkenwell, London (with flexibility to work from home 1 day/week)
