Team – IT Operations
Working Pattern – Hybrid –3 days + per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
The purpose of this role will be to develop the best possible customer journey for our user base when engaging with our IT Service. This will include managing the daily operations of the 2nd line team including the individual management and leadership of them. You will actively develop relationships with the business to better enable it and to own and drive forward all Desktop involved IT transformation initiatives. Owning, leading and supporting service change activities will be an exciting part of the role where ownership and empowerment will be reliably encouraged and supported.
Key Actions
- Team Management and Leadership – Performance, development, succession, skills management. Including proxying management peers during absence
- Transformation – Driving people, process and technology forward to change the way we operate in both the Desktop Service space
- Cross-functional – Promoting work across multiple teams, creating opportunities for shift left and more effective use of capabilities and promoting career pathways
- Modern Desktop Service – Driving chances to change and improve and working collaboratively on our EUC landscape.
- Reporting – Responsible for providing accurate information, reporting on a regular basis and to deadlines. You will build complimentary improvement plans to support delivery of the service strategy
- Ongoing Performance & Continuous Service Improvement – Responsible for representing the 2nd line teams within cross-functional teams. Engaging across IT and the business to improve and define operational processes in order to deliver reliable improvements.
- ITSM – Understanding and supporting the cross-functional needs for ITSM across people, process and technology
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
- Proven experience within a Service Desk Manager, EUC Manager, Desktop Manager or significant Team Leader experience
- Experience leading people both operationally and through business and IT change across a geographically split team
- Excellent communication, coaching and feedback skills
- Demonstrable working knowledge around ITIL (v3 or v4), ideally certifications
- Experience using and supporting the improvement of ITSM tools
- Excellent and demonstrable management knowledge around modern desktop operations, extending into EUC including but not limited to Endpoint Manager, SCCM and JAMF
