We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in a Residential Children’s home.
You will support the young people aged between 8-16 years of age with emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD) to maximise their opportunities and strengths and to address their needs by:
* Providing a warm and welcoming environment for young people to thrive and achieve their best outcomes.
* Providing support and reassurance.
* Ensuring an excellent service is delivered at all times.
* Encouraging development using life skills.
* Providing a safe and secure environment.
* Being a positive role model.
* Supporting with financial management and budgeting in preparation for adulthood.
* Ensuring house administration, daily paper work, petty cash books and recording are to the required standard.
* Work closely with external professionals, including Social Workers, Techers and Health care professionals.
* Giving your team clear direction and motivation through challenging times.
*What you need to succeed: *
* Enhanced DBS Check
* Flexiblity
* Full clean UK driving Licence
* Level 3/4 Diploma is Residential Childcare or Equivalent
* Must be 21 years of age or older
* Sleep-ins as required
* On-calls as per the rota pattern
* Overtime as required
* The ability to supervise and develop a dedicated team of staff
* Previous experience and knowledge of working with Behavioural and Emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour.
* 24 months of experience within a care related role
* 12 months of experience at a senior level
