As a Senior Clinician or existing Deputy Hospital Director with a wealth of experience in the field of Mental Health, this is your chance to join our team at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes, help build the team around you and influence how the service is run.  

You will support the Hospital Director in leading the service, you will be responsible for managing clinical and non-clinical teams and you will be the Clinical Lead for Quality and Compliance.

As a Deputy Hospital Director, you will have previous experience of project management as you will manage Clinical and Operational functions of the hospital and will be deputising for the Hospital Director, where you will attend internal and external meetings with key stake holders. As Deputy Hospital Director you’ll play a key role in ensuring the success of the service. Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will support the development and provision of a high quality and bespoke pathway of care for the service users.

To be Successful as a Deputy Hospital Director you will need:

  • A relevant Clinical qualification and professional registration, for example Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
  • A Minimum of 3 Years Senior management experience in a Mental Health setting  
  • Be able to evidence management/leadership training and a willingness to complete our internal leadership training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing a clinical and Operational team and creating a positive working environment.
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment
  • A detailed understanding of statutory regulations
  • Ability to oversee and deliver site projects.
  • Experience in a mental health setting Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes and the CQC.
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation related to the patient group.
  • Audit and Compliance experience within a clinical setting.

Where you’ll be working

Location: Chadwick Drive (off Saxon Street), Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK6 5LS

You will be working at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure and locked services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour.

The service offer a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving service users at every stage. The hospital’s consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry. All programmes are designed to reduce the risk of re-offending and to maximise the potential and enhance the quality of life of each service user.

Chadwick Lodge secure services care for service users with complex and enduring mental illness who need to achieve stability in order to benefit from multidisciplinary interventions, helping them move on to community settings whenever possible.
