*About the Role*
We are looking for an *experienced Deputy Manager* to support our Registered (dual) Home Manager in leading one of our Children’s Homes (ages 11 – 17). This is a key leadership role, ensuring the home provides the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and therapeutic support.
You will:
* Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home.
* Lead shifts and oversee daily operations to ensure children are safe, supported, and engaged.
* Supervise and develop team members, embedding Woodford’s values and therapeutic model.
* Ensure compliance with *Ofsted regulations* and Woodford’s policies.
* Contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children.
* Act as a role model, providing hands-on support and leadership.
What We’re Looking For
* *Minimum 4 years’ experience* in residential childcare.
* *Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce Residential Diploma* plus Level 5 Leadership and Management desirable.
* Experience in a leadership role (e.g. Deputy Manager).
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to work therapeutically with children and young people.
* Over 22 years old (due to regulations).
* Calm, approachable, adaptable, and committed to ongoing development.
* Driving licence desirable.
