Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team in Blackburn. They are currently expanding and looking for dedicated staff to join them, at this exciting time in their growth.

As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of their organization by overseeing credit and collections processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
– Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
– Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed credit decisions.
– Establish and monitor credit limits for customers based on risk analysis.
– Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
– Contact customers for outstanding payments and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
– Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.
– Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate smooth credit transactions.
– Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address credit-related issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
– Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key credit metrics and areas of concern.
– Make recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
– Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to credit and collections.
– Ensure compliance with legal requirements in credit management activities.
