 Part-Time Consultant Psychiatrist in a Premier Residential Treatment Facility

Are you a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic environment?

Our client is expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join their esteemed team across their acute wards, with responsibilities across other wards as needed.

We are ideally looking for someone to work 15 hours per week.

About the Role: As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that our patients receive person-centric care and treatment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients, overseeing the referral and admission process, and contributing to pre-admission assessments.
  • Collaborating with consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Providing cross-cover to other wards when necessary to maintain continuity of care.

Key Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry.
  • Experience working in inpatient settings with individuals facing significant mental health challenges.
  • Experience at a consultant level within the NHS.
  • Excellent team player skills with a strong commitment to a multi-disciplinary approach to assessment and care.
  • Active registration with the GMC, including being on the specialist register for psychiatry.
