Our client’s East Midlands Hospital is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for female patients, delivered in partnership with their NHS partners.
They offer individualised care packages for patients and specialise in managing behaviours that lead to distress, supported by a strong team of psychologists and occupational therapists. Their multidisciplinary team specialises in positive behavioural support planning, to help patients in managing and developing new strategies to improve their distress and trauma.
There is a psychiatric intensive care unit and an acute service which provide treatment for females of working age.
Working collaboratively with family/carers and a host of CCGs, they strive for minimum lengths of hospital stays, with the aim of discharge into the community when possible.
They now have a full time Consultant vacancy to cover the 10 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and are seeking a highly motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to complement the existing medical work force. This may be subject to future change depending on the service needs of the site and skill set of the medical workforce at the time. The site receives support from an experienced Specialty Doctor and accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
