CNC Turner Programmer
Gloucester
Hours: 8am-4:45pm Mon-Thurs / 8am-2:30pm Fri
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
The successful applicant will join the team as a full time CNC Turner to produce precision engineered components from detailed specifications and will preferably be a time-served or apprentice-trained machinist who is able to demonstrate evidence of the following:
⦁ Set up, program and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
⦁ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
⦁ Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process
⦁ Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
⦁ Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
⦁ Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Experience:
⦁ Previous experience operating CNC Fanuc/Haas turning machines
⦁ Proficiency in materials handling, including packaging and shipping
⦁ Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use
⦁ Knowledge of ONECNC or similar software for design and programming
⦁ Ability to assemble and fabricate components as needed
⦁ Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
⦁ Understanding of tooling and welding processes
⦁ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
