A Coventry-based client is seeking an Experienced CNC Turner/Miller for their night shift. The job involves continuing production of parts from the day shift, making adjustments to ensure uninterrupted production, interpreting drawings and digital files, inspecting work, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to quality standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in precision machining, be able to inspect their own work, have a strong understanding of Fanuc programs, and be familiar with various lathe and machinery models. Immediate starts are available for qualified candidates. The company also welcomes site visits for interested applicants.

Job Description:

Job Title: CNC Turner/Miller – NIGHT SHIFT
Location: Coventry
Salary: £34,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 6pm – 6am

Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.

As an Experienced CNC Turner/Miller, duties will include:
⦁ Continuation of production of parts already setup and ran during the day
⦁ Carrying out setting and tooling adjustments to ensure production continues without interruption during the night
⦁ Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
⦁ Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
⦁ Maintain clean and tidy stations
⦁ Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
⦁ Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.

Experience Required
⦁ Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
⦁ Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
⦁ Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
⦁ Able to move offsets
⦁ Conversant with Hardinge, Lynx and Doosan Lathes (Preferable)
⦁ Conversant with Mikron and VCM machinery (Preferable)
⦁ Experience of working with a wide range of materials including mild steels, brass, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
