Additional CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our team we manufacture low volume high tolerance components using Fanuc Control Machines. Role would involve work direct from engineering drawing and candidate to have the ability to complete component with minimal assistance. Candidate should have experience of CNC lathes, and also CNC VTL and milling machines would be beneficial but not essential. Experience machining large size castings and forgings would be beneficial. Our company specialise in Steel components and processes so experience in cutting steel and stainless steel would be beneficial. We use CADCAM so experience in this would be beneficial but on the job training can also be given. The job is a lot of setup and small quantities so experience in such a roll would be beneficial. Training will be available to upskill suitable candidate with CADCAM programming and on specific machines.We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production process by programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*Duties*
* Develop and optimise CNC programmes based on engineering drawings and specifications.
* Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they run efficiently and produce accurate parts.
* Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
* Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine settings and programme changes.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing setting.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with G-code programming languages is essential; experience with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
* A background in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
