Class 1 Driver

Wright Staff Recruitment is looking for skilled and reliable Class 1 Drivers for their client in the Grimsby area. The role offers 1-5 shifts per week on an ad hoc basis. Drivers will be responsible for operating lorries safely, making timely deliveries, conducting vehicle inspections, and assisting with cargo handling. A valid commercial driving licence and proven experience in a similar role are essential, along with strong knowledge of road safety regulations. The position offers a pay rate of £16.25 per hour and requires in-person work from Monday to Friday.

*Overview*
Wright Staff Recruitment are seeking skilled and reliable Class 1 Drivers for our client in the Grimsby area.

*Duties*
* Operate a lorry in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Execute timely deliveries of goods to various locations, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently.
* Uphold company policies regarding safety protocols and customer service standards.
* Delivery route is trunking to and from our clients location in Grimsby and the Liverpool/Manchester area with a curtain sider.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record is essential.
* Experience with flatbed lorry operations is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
