They seek a diligent Pastry Chef De Partie responsible for producing high-quality pastry and bakery items across various cuisines. Who are we?

Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, theres a kids club for the little ones and a workspace. As the countryside companion to Maison Estelle, the manor is also a hosted home, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove.

We are looking for a diligent Pastry Chef De Partie to produce pastry and bakery items for all of the restaurants food concpets at Estelle Manor.

The on target earning potential for this role is £37,705.43 per annum based on a 45 hour contract – comprising a base salary of £30,677.40 plus a qualified estimate of £7,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • You will produce high quality pastry and bakery items for all of the restaurants food concepts at Estelle Manor. With a variety of different cuisines and kitchens to choose from including all day dining, wood fired dishes, speciality Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
  • You will assist and engage with the kitchens senior leadership in managing all food health & safety related standards, ensuring the guests and members experience is always exceptional and memorable.
  • Working in the pastry section of the Kitchen preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following our recipes.
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be modern, beautiful, exciting and appetising.
  • Being responsible for effective stock control within the Pastry section and to control and record all wastage.
  • Having good communication skills and proficiently liaising with all departments on an ongoing basis; close relationships with front of house operational teams.

  • Experience working in a Kitchen department in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation.
  • Someone who stays up to date with current food trends and best practices.
  • Able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and coming front of house to talk to members.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experience with keen attention to detail
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.

About gratuities & service charge:

  • Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role.
