Care Home Nurse

Night Shifts

As a Care Home Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents. Working closely with other nurse practitioners, you will ensure that care services consistently meet high standards, respecting the dignity and promoting the independence of each resident. Your primary responsibility is the well-being and health of the elderly or individuals with various medical conditions in our care home.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of an efficient team, adhering to the policies and procedures and NMC guidelines.
  • Engage in professional development through training, meetings, and supervisions.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies, including health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.

  • Assess residents’ needs and administer medication and treatments per NMC guidelines and company policies.
  • Report any health concerns among residents and request professional visits when necessary.
  • Complete and maintain care plans in conjunction with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide direct nursing care, health supervision, and ongoing assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates of resident care plans.

  • Support and mentor new staff members, offering guidance and training as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Effective communication and empathy with residents, families, and the care team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in caring for older adults.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
