Care Home Deputy Manager (Nursing)

Location: Norfolk 

Join our clients flagship nursing home, renowned for luxurious living, superb facilities, and a beautiful residential setting as a Care Home Deputy Manager.  This care home provides exceptional residential, respite, convalescence, and nursing care and residents thrive in a supportive community while maintaining their independence, enjoying facilities and services comparable to those of a top hotel.

Salary: Up to £55,000 DoE per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (09:00 – 17:00)

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager you will play a crucial role in managing home operations to achieve and exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff, stepping into full management in the absence of the Home Manager.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in training and supervising care staff, providing direct instruction and exemplary leadership.
  • Supporting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments.
  • Ensuring each resident’s care plan and daily records are up to date.
  • Fostering effective communication with residents’ families and other organisations.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand and meet their care needs.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with external care professionals, families, visitors, and the staffing team.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs within the home.

Education and Qualifications:

  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience (essential).
