In light of this expansion, we are on the lookout for a skilled Business Finance Manager to join their team.

This company, a leading consultancy, is in the midst of robust growth, delivering comprehensive management solutions across diverse education sectors, including skills, exam boards, and awarding bodies. Their clientele spans central government, public, and private sectors.

About the Role: This is a newly created position within the Central Business Operations and Finance team. As the Business Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of the Central Operations and Finance department.

Responsibilities of the Business Finance Manager:
• Lead financial planning and analysis, providing strategic insights to drive business decisions.
• Manage the budgeting process and collaborate closely with department heads to achieve financial goals.
• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and efficiency.
• Conduct financial reviews and implement improvements to maximize performance.
• Act as a key liaison between finance and other business departments.
• Support client onboarding, contracting, and compliance processes to meet contractual obligations.
• Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proactively support contract opportunities through financial analysis and budget management.
• Coordinate the financial development of proposals and tender responses.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational success.
• Identify areas for improvement, implement strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and presentations on operational performance and strategies for senior management.

Skills and Experience Required for the Business Finance Manager
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the education sector or management consultancy.
• Proven experience in a finance management role.
• Recognised Accountancy qualification at level 4 or above ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, alongside experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Passion for education and making a positive impact in the field.
• Knowledge and experience in bid management would be highly desirable.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
