An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to lead the Outpatient Service based at Hawthorn House for Infectious Diseases, Immunology & Allergy and HIV Services at Heartlands Hospital.
We require a leader with strong managerial and leadership skills who can drive, support and deliver a high standard of care for our patients.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
We are looking to appoint a Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse with background knowledge of a hospital environment and preferably have experience in outpatient management. You must be confident in your ability to demonstrate successful leadership and managerial experience at a senior level. The requisite for this role is a person who is highly motivated, dynamic and possesses excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. You will be supported by a passionate and dedicated team who are motivated to continually deliver and improve patient care.
We are looking for the successful candidate to enhance and lead our team of nurses to provide clinical nursing expertise whilst maintaining a high standard of care within the department. The successful candidate must be committed to clinical quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Adult / Child Nurse on the NMC Register. – ( field dependent upon role )
* Evidence of post registration CPD / Post registration qualification in appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to degree / masters level equivalent FHEQ Level 6 /7
* Recognised mentorship course
* Non-medical prescriber or willing to work towards ( where applicable to role )
Experience
Essential
* Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
* Significant post registration experience at Band 6 or above Clinical Nurse Specialist within practice related field to role applied for
* Evidence of ability to professionally lead / manage a team of staff.
* Demonstrable understanding of the management responsibility for pay and non-pay resources associated with a clinical service
* Evidence of delivering change management both personally and as a facilitator.
