A global consulting partner is seeking an AWS Data Architect to join their client’s team in London on a 6-month contract. The architect will be responsible for the design and migration of data from on-premise to the AWS cloud platform. Key responsibilities include identifying necessary AWS cloud services, managing data mapping and transformation, optimizing AWS Redshift for data warehousing, and integrating various data sources. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an AWS Data Architect, in-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services, strong programming skills, and excellent stakeholder management skills. UK work rights are required.

On Behalf of our Global Consulting partner, Focus on SAP is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Data Architect to join our client’s dynamic team and add valuable skills to their project.
 
As an AWS Data Architect, You will responsible for the design and overseeing of the complete data migration from on premise to the AWS cloud platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely and collaborate with the Cloud Architect to identify the necessary AWS Cloud Services to deliver the solutions.
• Be responsible for the Data Mapping, Transformation, Validation, Ingestion and Data integrity.
• Manage and optimize AWS redshift for Data warehousing.
• Work with AWS kinesis to build real time data processing solutions for streaming Data ingestion and analytics.
• Integrate various data sources and systems whilst ensuring seamless data flow between services using AWS API Gateway, SQS, ECS and SNS.
• Maintain thorough documentations of architecture, configurations and processes in Confluence.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience as an AWS Data Architect in at least 2 full life cycle projects moving from on premise to cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, S3, Glue, VPC, EC2, SNS, API Gateway, ECS, SQS, KMS, MSK, RDS, IAM, Athena, CloudWatch, Kinesis and AWS Transfer family.
• Strong usage of stream processing services such as Kafka.
• Practical programming skills with Python.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Code Repository Management using Github.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and fluent English communications.
