The role
As an Assistant Contract Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for defining, advancing, and implementing the managerial and strategic goals of the London Fire Brigade (LFB) Fleet Contract. This role demands expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding to navigate complex challenges that require innovative thinking.
Day-to-day, you’ll conduct analysis of internal and external environments to identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the roadmap of delivery. You’ll Monitor and evaluate progress towards goals will be essential, with a focus on technical knowledge and an ability to influence paramount to success. You’ll also:
Own the contractual continuous improvement to support the delivery and improvements in health and safety and quality performance
Drive profitability across the contract to maximise margins, working closely with all departments and making use of wider Babcock Group support functions
Own the rollout of the LFB Fleet quality management system for new processes to aid strategic growth and development and transition into business as usual delivery
Own strategic project delivery
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Ruislip.
Essential experience of the Assistant Contract Manager:
Stakeholder engagement evidencing the ability to network and build effective relationships
Identifying and driving successful maintenance control changes
Knowledge of project management principles and MS Office applications
Experience in project managing teams or a business with the ability to deliver technical support to a group of colleagues within a busy environment
Qualifications for the Assistant Contract Manager:
A degree in a relevant subject
Project management qualification or proven work experience
Relevant technical Knowledge
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
