41Job Description:Company who manufactures, certifies and maintains cabin interiors for the world’s major airlines firm is seeking an assembly operative.

This is an ongoing temporary role that will lead to Permanent and will pay £12.70 per hour, increasing when semi-skilled and skilled.

Working hours: Between 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday & 8am – 1pm on Fridays.

Job role is based in Cambridge – Waterbeach

Free Parking on site, Must have steel toe cap boots.

Training will be provided.

Purpose of Role: You will be assembling parts and panels to the specification of engineering drawings. You may be requested to support other manufacturing departments if the workload requires. You will become skilled in your work area and have you own workstation and tools.
 

The ideal Assembly operative will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Understand basic engineering drawing.
  •  Experience of handheld tools (sanders / drills)
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment (rulers / verniers / tape measure)
  • Time served or interest in hands on production role and assembly (possibly carpentry or building background)   
  • Attention to detail.
  •  Able to follow instructions.
