As the Thames Water Application Support Lead you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic alignment of our organization’s Application platforms. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, maintenance, and enhancement of our application ecosystem. Your focus will be on maximizing the value derived from these platforms while ensuring their stability and reliability.

What you’ll be doing as an Application Support Lead

  • Collaborate with executive sponsors, architects, and stakeholders to create and enforce the strategic vision for our application platforms.
  • Monitor and enforce platform governance policies with 3rd Party Vendors and Support Partners.
  • Guarantee system stability during transitions to production or steady-state environments.
  • Lead a core platform team, including administrators, engineers, and other relevant roles.
  • Manage and develop a high performing team culture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Prioritize enhancements, upgrades, and new features.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the platform team.

Base Location: Reading – Hybrid
Working Pattern: 36 hours

  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills used to direct/persuade/influence others
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with application support, IT service management, and platform administration.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a complex organizational environment.
  • SAP and Cloud computing knowledge is desirable

  • Competitive salary from £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience
