About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of individual students with SEN and SEMH. This involves:

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with students on a one-to-one basis in various settings, including schools, homes, and external venues.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective teaching sessions tailored to individual needs.
  • Adapting teaching materials and methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure continuity of support.
  • Completing administrative tasks, including progress reports, session plans, and evaluation reports.
  • Continuously developing your skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.

  • Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
