A well-established niche business in Blackburn is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and understanding all production lines, fault finding electrical and mechanical issues, and creating and managing a preventative maintenance schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a maintenance engineer in a fast-paced environment and be electrically qualified to the 18th edition. The role offers a starting salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, a four-day work week, and 33 days of holiday.

My client is a well established niche business looking to expand following recent investment. The manufacturing facility is based within commutable distance from Preston, Burnley, Manchester & Bolton. They are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a day shift which runs from Monday-Thursday.
The Role – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Maintain and understand all production lines and how they should run efficiently
- Fault finding Electrical and Mechanical on plant to diagnose and repair production machinery
- Create and manage a PPM schedule to ensure assets remain as efficient as possible
- Ensure PPM program is completed on time to ensure minimal disruption to production
- Ensure machinery is running as expected and where necessary perform reliability monitoring to reduce machine breakdowns
- Provide technical support to the management team where necessary recommending solutions and preventive measures
- Complete reporting and paperwork as required to ensure accurate records are kept
- Be an advocate of process improvement and look at ways of improving the plant and processes
Minimum Skills / Experience Required – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Its expected that you will be educated to a minimum to HNC/NVQ/C&G Level
- Experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within a fast paced environment
- Electrically qualified to 18th edition
- Inspection and Testing 2391 would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written and communication skills
- Experience of implementing process and maintenance plans would be an advantage
- IT literate able to work with MS Packages (spreadsheets etc)
The Package – Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Starting salary of between £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
- 4 day week (Monday to Thursday) (Overtime available)
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
