Role Purpose
The candidate will work within the Street Homelessness Accommodation Team and will provide housing support services across three distinct supported housing projects – Housing First, Dispersed, self-contained flats and Shared Accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver proactive support to applicants with multiple and complex support needs to help them access and maintain accommodation
- Manage a caseload and ensure all aspects of support work is carried out in accordance with legislation, safeguarding, policies and procedures
- Will collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes for applicants with multiple and complex support
- Ensure all service users’ documentation is relevant and update and that data is accurately entered into the various IT systems
- Contribute to efficient service delivery as an individual and as part of a team, in accordance with local policies procedures and legislation (including shift work where required)
Requirements
- Experience working in housing associations or councils is required for this position
- Have good knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness practice
- You must also have strong communication and creative problem-solving skills together with the drive and passion to help vulnerable people to live independent and fulfilling lives
- You must also be willing to work outside of office hours on occasion
Contract
- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm A mixture of office/community/home based
