Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Engineering / Manufacturing company in their search for an experienced Workshop Engineer / Fitter to work in their facility in Cambridge.

For the successful Workshop Engineer / Fitter, our client is offering:

• Competitive salary £31,990 to £37,252 Per annum depending on experience
• Monday to Friday 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM
• Opportunity for overtime paid @ 1.5 during the week & x2 after 4 hours on a Saturday
• Permanent position
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays
• Immediate starts are available or happy to wait for candidates with notice periods.

The Role: Workshop Engineer / Fitter

Due to growth and expansion, our client requires an experienced Workshop Engineer / Fitters to assist with the Repair, Maintenance and testing of our full range of plant equipment.

Keys Responsibilities  

• Carries out routine pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of new machines
• Contributes to the repair, overhaul and diagnosis of plant equipment
• Mechanical Engineering / Fitting and Assembly duties
• Working from Engineering drawings

What our client is looking for in a Workshop Engineer / Fitter:

• Experienced and qualified in working with relevant mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems – ESSENTIAL 
• Experience and knowledge of heavy-duty plant machinery such as FLT, Cranes, and Agricultural machinery – ESSENTIAL
• Must have demonstrable technical experience in a similar, installation role – ESSENTIAL
• Satisfactory completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 2 or 3 · ESSENTIAL
• GCSE passes grades A-C in Mathematics and English · ESSENTIAL
• Must be flexible to travel overseas if required – ESSENTIAL
