Cherry Blossom Care Home is a purposely built luxury care home in Peterborough. We’re looking for an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team and create delicious meals that our residents can’t wait to return for.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Executive Chef will be responsible
Developing and creating menus
Supervision, training and managing kitchen staff.
Monitoring inventory and ordering food and supplies
Overseeing daily operations in the kitchen
Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment
Maintaining the highest standards for food preparation
Enforcing proper food handling protocols
Meeting budget targets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Complete audits daily, weekly and monthly as per requirement.
Work Hours and Benefits:
The Executive Chef will be expected to work full time, including weekends and evenings. Benefits include competitive salary, employee insurance, 5.6 weeks of annual holidays.
Qualifications:
Proven track record as an Executive Chef in a care home environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations
Experience generating and managing budgets.
Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff.
Exceptional customer service skills
Training and Education:
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Culinary Arts or related field and at least 5 years of kitchen management experience. Any experience with catering services is a plus.
