36Job Description:This is a unique setting which is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to join the nursery in the Harrow area. This is a purpose built setting which offers spacious, airy rooms and a large outdoor area, all extremely well resourced and with excellent facilities. This nursery offers a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. They are close to the tube, are well served by local bus routes and can also offer free parking onsite.
They are seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager who will work as part of the nursery management team, to ensure the setting has the right staff, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest standards of childcare and early years education.
This role is full time 5 days per week (40 hours). Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Oversee the planning and implementation of the curriculum ensuring that it meets the needs of all children
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a positive and collaborative community
- Support the Nursery Manager in managing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and managing budgets
- Step in for the Nursery Manager when they are absent, ensuring smooth operation and continuity of care
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent); higher qualifications preferred
- Significant experience in an early years setting, with previous management or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
