We are seeking a People Partner with the enthusiasm and ambition to match ours. It is an exciting time to join our newly created hospital People function, which is forward thinking and highly valued.
The successful candidate will be solutions focused and passionate about leading a team, supporting them to reach their full potential and coaching them in dealing with cases which are difficult and sensitive. They will also be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge in the field of employee relations, showing evidence of keeping up-to-date with legislative changes and maintaining their continuous professional development. They will be innovative, team-focused, and able to demonstrate how they follow the just culture principles in their approach.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
They will first and foremost be focused on the individual rather than process, whilst ultimately ensuring that patient care is protected and upheld. The successful candidate will also be keen to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple conflicting demands and pressures, whilst continuing to provide leadership to the team and managing a caseload of complex HR issues.
This role is hybrid working, with attendance required on site, other Trust locations and working from home.
The primary base for this role will be at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, however travel will be required across all of the Trust sites including Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull as well as home working.
This is a full time (37.5 hours), permanent role. Closing Date: 10th July 2024

Qualifications
Essential
*Graduate CIPD Level 7 (Chartered Institute of Personnel and development) or equivalent post graduate level qualification/training/experience to master’s level or equivalent.
*Evidence of continuous professional development.
*Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent experience.
Desirable
*Leadership and Management training or qualification.
Experience
Essential
*Extensive experience in employee relations / generalist HR role, providing advice and support on complex cases involving safeguarding issues, suspensions and discrimination claims.
*Experience of leading and managing a team.
*Recent experience of working in a large complex unionised organisation.
*Experience of change management/ consultation and working in partnership with Trade unions
*Up to date and thorough working knowledge of Employment Law and Human Resource Best Practice
*Knowledge and understanding of the full range of HR and HR policy issues and best practice.
*Knowledge of legislation relating to Equality & Diversity particularly Gender, Race & Disability
*Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults & Children.
Desirable
*Experience across a broad range of HR work including HR policy development and implementation.
*Experience of analysing and interpreting workforce data across a range of disciplines
