Role: Ecommerce Support Assistant (6 Month Project Role)

Location: London

Salary: £27,800

Ecommerce Support Assistant needed for a 6-month FTC to support with the roll-out of a long term ecommerce strategy for a group of historic venues in central London!

As Ecommerce Support Assistant, you will play a central role in ensuring the success of the new retail offer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Ecommerce Manager in testing all aspects of the online shop before launch to ensure elements are functioning correctly and there are no gaps or errors in content or functionality
  • Liaise with retail staff to arrange for products to be packed and transported to photographic studio for product photography
  • Contacting product suppliers to obtain product and story content (copy, images, video) relevant to the online shop
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Manager to support in the smooth running of the wider ecommerce function.
  • Support with content management (writing and uploading product and page copy; sourcing, editing and uploading images) for the ecommerce website, ensuring all product and fulfilment information is up to date.
  • Support the Ecommerce Manager in the smooth running of fulfilment processes, liaising with the Retail Manager, Retail Operations team, and fulfilment suppliers to efficiently fulfil ecommerce orders.
  • Act as the primary contact for enquires from ecommerce customers, resolving requests and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Manager, Retail Manager and Retail Operations team to ensure a high standard of customer service for returns, refunds and any other ecommerce enquires
  • Support the Ecommerce Manager in the administration of digital marketing activity such as email marketing (via the DotDigital email communication platform) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
  • Support the Buying and Development Manager and Ecommerce Manager with other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Manage purchase orders and invoices for products and to ensure that all new suppliers and product items are correctly set up on the appropriate systems.
  • Liaise with product suppliers to schedule and track deliveries, working closing with the Retail Manager to ensure new stock is received and checked by the Retail Operations team.
  • Deal with stock enquires with suppliers, reporting faulty and missing product items and recoding these on the appropriate systems.
  • Manage product supplier payments, checking invoices against delivery notes and stock enquires created by the Retail Operations team.
  • Manage product samples, chasing product suppliers as necessary and recording samples received and returned.
  • Support the Buying and Development Manager to ensure that the departmental critical path is met, providing support to the buying and product development processes as required.
