The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to be part of this well-established team based in Brinsworth. As the UKs largest provider and industry leader of everything gas cylinder related, this is the next pivotal hire and one that will see you managing projects that enable innovative supply solutions across the business, including industrial gas solutions, hydrogen supply, decarbonisation and gas to future clean energy providers.
The Role
This position is business critical and ensures the smooth operation of the business’ future projects, ensuring a genuine difference is made to customers. The role responsibilities will include;
- Provide engineering support to the sales team, helping win and deliver new projects
- Ensure that project designs and costs are competitive, and solutions are practicable
- Manage project timescales and provide technical expertise in the preparation of standards to enable continuous improvement
- Ensure that plant, equipment and systems comply with statutory requirements and company standards
- Provide opportunities to lead teams of multi-skilled Engineers in preparing and designing solutions to complex process needs
- Prepare project documentation and review detailed drawings of equipment and system specifications
- Participate in the selection of equipment suppliers and contractors
- Deliver classroom-based training to plant maintenance and operational staff
Our Ideal Candidate
A commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for success in this role. You will possess a blend of technical expertise in the process industry, water, steelworks or oil and gas sectors. Furthermore, we are looking for:
- Qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering (or close to applying for Chartered status)
- Health and Safety Legislation Knowledge (NEBOSH Diploma preferable)
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Work effectively in a team environment
