Production Planner

Salary: between £28,000 and £31,000 per annum + Benefits

Permanent, Full-time

We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team in Cross Hills.  This is an on-site based role.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Plan and organise production through machine shop and assembly and test departments and manage the daily work schedules for both areas.
  • Using Efacs prepare capacity planning schedules for CNC machine shop and assembly and test department.  Identify bottle necks to processes and human capacity.
  • Attend daily production meetings and advise the sales department of any potential issues.
  • Liaise with Purchasing department for subcontract requirements.
  • Expedite internal parts to fulfil complete kit requirements.
  • Update the sales and work order documents.
  • Continually review and develop the company’s operating systems.

What we are offering:

  • Remuneration package between £28,000 and £31,000 per annum
  • Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including bank holidays.
  • Pension Scheme: 8% Combined contribution (4% matched).
  • Working Hours: 36½ hours per week Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time and an early finish on Friday.  This is a full-time site based role.

About you: 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry would be
  • You will be able to demonstrate your time management and relationship building abilities along with good communication skills across different levels and disciplines of the organisation.
  • You must be computer literate in Microsoft packages with a working knowledge of MRP systems, experience with Efacs would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

All postholders must pass Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), essentially no unspent criminal convictions, permanent UK residential address and be a British citizen.
