110Job Description:Job Title: Data Science Architect
Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £69,000 depending on experience and skills
What you’ll be doing:
Communicate to the business the concepts and benefits of Data Science, AI/ML, MLOps and software modernisation
Define processes, governance, and standards for the development of Data Science and AI/ML products and solutions
Collaborate with the Data Science team to support the delivery of products into the business, by defining architectural patterns, high level solution designs and quality oversight
In conjunction with Group IM&T research and implement application toolchains for the development of Data Science and AI/ML products, their supporting environments and underpinning infrastructure
Ensure all architectural and service documentation is created and maintained for the Data Science domain
Create Architectural high level solution designs for triaged Business Needs based on the derived business requirements
Ensure all architectural solutions are consistent with the Group IM&T and SS D&A architectural principles, frameworks, models, and company mandated standards
Ensure all architectural solutions are fully interoperable with existing solutions within the domain and its related domains
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Degree in a relevant subject, Maths, Engineering, IT computing, Science (STEM)
Experience of working in the data domain
Data modelling experience
Data Science experience
Desirable:
TOGAF certified

The Data Science Architect team:
You will work within a team of architects each with their own specialist areas of expertise to deliver a full Data & Analytics capability to our enterprise. This role will also work closely with the D&A innovation team who are responsible for the delivery of innovative solution to meet business requirements. Within this role you will with a breadth of different people including the business – to help them to understand the benefits of data science and senior stakeholders to express complex ideas.
