We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to support our operation. The ideal candidate will possess all the skills required to fully maintain our fleet of vehicles.
A strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating an ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure the safety and performance of our fleet.
*What you need:*
* Able to manage your own diary to ensure timely repairs
* Prepared to travel around to our sites under taking repairs
* Can do attitude
* Own van and tools desired but can be provided for the right candidate
*Responsibilities*
* Looking after all sites, Exeter, Bridgend, Southampton and Avonmouth
* Repairs to Fridge engines
* Tyre changes
* Perform routine maintenance tasks.
* Repair units
* Attend breakdowns in hours
* Trailer body repairs
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
*Skills*
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
* Ability to work independently.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
* A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering are advantageous.
