Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for audience-led development?

At Cancer research UK we exist to beat cancer. We’re looking for an inspiring Proposition & Programme Lead to co-create and drive a new cross-functional proposition area within our Fundraising & Engagement Proposition department, in partnership with our Information & Innovation (I&I) department.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how we convert targeted audiences into lifelong supporters, delivering compelling experiences that grow lifetime value and accelerate our research mission.

You’ll be at the heart of a transformation programme that’s reshaping how we engage supporters and deliver impact. If you’re ready to lead with purpose and drive innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Set up and co-lead the new Seek Info fundraising proposition area, defining purpose, governance, ways of working, and budget in collaboration with I&I and other stakeholders.
  • Own the Profit & Loss for the proposition and relevant products/services/journeys, ensuring commercial viability and strategic alignment.
  • Jointly set-up and lead a cross-organisational team, coordinating delivery across seven workstreams: team setup, insight alignment, journey mapping, ideation, roadmap development, delivery, and innovation integration.
  • Drive audience growth through bold, insight-led, multi-year plans that deliver value and impact.
  • Champion audience-led journeys, using service design and user research to identify key moments of influence and income generation.
  • Build strong partnerships internally and externally to ensure seamless delivery and innovation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven success in leading strategic propositions and cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Strong ability to translate insights into differentiated strategies and roadmaps.
  • Deep understanding of service design and audience journey development, including the tools and methodologies that support this (e.g. journey mapping platforms, user research frameworks, and experience design tools).
  • Experience delivering digital and insight-driven solutions that drive growth and innovation.
  • A confident communicator who can inspire teams and senior stakeholders.
  • A creative, self-driven problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and fosters a high-performing culture.
  • A brilliant influencer with high emotional intelligence, able to support and challenge effectively to drive efficient and effective progress.

Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.

Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination

Credible: Act with rigour and professionalism

Human: Act to have a positive impact on people

Together: Act inclusively and collaboratively

We’re looking for people who can believe in and embody these organisation values and can use them to drive forward progress against our mission to beat cancer.
