Quality Controller and Editor – Digital Education

Part time (25 hrs/wk), fixed term for six months

Salary £24,274 (£34,543 FTE) pa plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Digital Learning and Media Services team on a fixed-term basis. As a Quality Controller and Editor, you will support the development and production of high-quality learning resources, ensuring an efficient and successful learning experience for our students. You will work closely with colleagues across the University to facilitate effective written guidance and resources, ensuring adherence with the University’s quality standards.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for enhancing in-house quality processes and procedures, standards, and specifications for the University’s digital resources
  • Guide academic Lecturers and subject experts in authoring written module content
  • Co-ordinate student consultations to help inform the University’s module and assessment designs
  • Collaborate with Lecturers, Learning Designers, and the Learning Technology team to shape the development of new assessments

Our main requirements:

  • Experience in developing Quality Assurance standards, procedures, and specifications for educational content
  • Previous experience in developing and editing student-focused educational resources including assessment, within an online environment
  • Familiarity with educational technologies such as Virtual Learning Environments in support of learning, teaching, and assessment
  • Digital skills confidence: We use MS Office which includes Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and several other systems/technologies
