Glasgow Life is a charity like no other. Our vision is to improve the lives of everyone in our city. To help us achieve that, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement and Legal Services Team.

Location:
- Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in one of our offices.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Procurement Specialist you will lead innovative sourcing strategies, manage key supplier relationships, and drive efficiency and compliance across high value public sector projects. You will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement practices that are sustainable, ethical and aligned with organisational objectives. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery on multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring outcomes that meet stakeholder needs while achieving value for money and advancing wider environmental, social and economic priorities – including community benefits, sustainability and fair work practices. You will have the ability to deliver target savings and efficiencies, while identifying opportunities to generate added value across all stages of the procurement lifecycle. To achieve this, you will bring proven experience in public sector procurement delivery, with a strong understanding of the regulations, frameworks and commercial strategies that drive best value for the public purse.

We’re looking for you to:
· Lead strategic procurement initiatives across multiple categories, ensuring value for money and compliance
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
· Provide expert advice on regulations, policy, compliance and market trends to influence decision making
· Mentor and guide specialist professionals
What we’re looking for:
· Proven experience in public sector procurement, ideally at senior level
· Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, frameworks and best practice
· Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
· A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to lead projects from strategy to delivery
· Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in procurement
