Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £46,224 – £53,789 £3000 GOLDEN HELLO BONUS T & C’S APPLY)
Hours: Full time – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 35 hours per week (Perm & Locum)

The Service:
They specialize in supporting individuals coping with cognitive, physical, and emotional symptoms following severe brain injuries. Their neurobehavioral approach focuses on enhancing independence and participation in previous roles with utmost privacy, dignity, and respect.
The Role:
They are seeking a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join an esteemed team. You will provide strategic leadership to their multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, contributing to the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess how communication impacts daily life and provide targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with individuals and their support network to overcome communication barriers.
- Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies as needed.
- Provide training to staff and support networks.
- Play a key role in service and organizational development initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registered with the HCPC
- Achieved Dysphagia Competencies
- A wide range of experience in hospital or residential settings
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI e.g. social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training.
- Knowledge and experience of speech and language therapy outcome measures.
- Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adults with neurological conditions or 4+ years post registration experience in an alternative clinical setting.
