A luxury hospitality business is seeking a French-speaking Management Accountant to join their finance team in London. The Management Accountant will support the Head of Finance and have experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a multi-site organization. Responsibilities include providing finance support to various areas of the business, producing monthly management accounts, analyzing monthly reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The successful candidate must have fluency in French and be a qualified accountant. They should also have strong communication skills, the ability to explain financial matters clearly, and be proficient in Microsoft365 Dynamics.

Management Accountant (French Speaking) – Luxury Hospitality Business

Role:                    Management Accountant (French Speaking)

Location:               London (4 days in office, 1 from home)

Salary:                 £45,000 to £50,000

We are seeking a skilled and driven French-speaking Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team.

The Management Accoutnant will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance and have a background in Hospitality, ideally in a multi-site organisation.

You will ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions, whilst assisting with the year-end audit.

Responsibilities

• Provide Finance support to the overall business, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Administration plus the retail site.
• Play a key role in the production of month-end accounts, with a focus on the production of monthly management accounts covering all areas of the business including balance sheet and cashflows.
• Working with the Head of Finance, ensure that effective monthly reports are produced, leading to the provision of high-quality reporting.
• Provision of insight and Analysis into monthly reporting, including managing reviews with the two sites’ General Managers.
• Attend monthly reviews, ensuring COGS performance is reviewed with accurate and timely data, with improvement actions identified and reviewed.
• Assist in the production of weekly KPI reporting covering the general business, including the provision of rolling cashflow reports.
• Working with the Head of Finance and General Management team, play a key role in pulling together budgets and forecasts for the business, ensuring that all stakeholders are included in the process and that ownership of the numbers is taken at the respective levels.
• Assist in the management of all finance systems (Xero).
• Support in the building of business cases for any CAPEX proposals within the business.
• Participate where necessary in providing Statutory Accounts with the external accountants.

The successful candidate.

• Grade, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or QBE
• Must speak fluent French.
• Able to operate as a standalone.
• Excellent communications skills, grit and determination.
• Microsoft365 Dynamic is a plus.
• Exposure to group consolidation.
• Ability to understand and explain financial matters clearly and concisely, demonstrating a clear understanding of P&L / balance sheet and accounting principles.
• Hands-on approach, willingness to work with others to help them understand.
