Production Operative

We’re undergoing recruitment for Production Operatives for our prestigious client in the Newtown area. Successful candidates will play a vital role in manufacturing and packaging products. This may involve repetitive work, standing for long periods of time and ensuring high quality of products.

* £12.60 per hour
Main roles and responsibilities:
* Adhere to production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
* Inspect products for consistency, quality, and labelling accuracy.
* Report and address any discrepancies or defects in raw materials or finished goods.
* Conduct basic tests to ensure product safety and quality standards are met.
* Assemble and label packaging materials according to specifications.
* Box, palletise, and prepare products for distribution.
* Follow strict hygiene protocols to maintain high standards.
* Clean and sanitise equipment, work areas, and tools as per safety standards.
* Comply with Health and Safety regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
* Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production.
* Assist in troubleshooting machinery and escalating maintenance issues.
* Monitor stock levels of packaging materials.
* Assist in receiving and storing supplies in designated areas.
Skills and qualities:
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
* Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment is desirable.
