*Job Description:*
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant and machinery to ensure the safety and efficiency of industrial workspaces.
*Responsibilities:*
1. Install, assemble, and test plant and machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications at client sites and workshop.
2. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of plant and machinery to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at client sites throughout the central belt.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plant and machinery and perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
4. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize the performance of plant and machinery .
5. Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of plant and machinery.
6. Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements, in detailed reports.
7. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations, to ensure quality workmanship and safety.
*Requirements:*
1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in the field of plant and machinery.
2. Knowledge of mechanical principles, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
3. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly, installation, and repairs.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Understanding of health and safety regulations related plant and machinery in industrial environments.
7. Certifications or qualifications in mechanical fitting or a related field. Minimum required is NVQ level 3 in a mechanical discipline.
